Intermission's autumn 2024 Retreat will make its home at the gorgeous Minterne House, a stunning country manor home and Himalayan gardens located in Dorset, U.K. Home to the first Sir Winston Churchill, the present House was built in 1905 and still contains the original Churchill tapestries and furniture. The garden is a haven of tranquillity to explore and inspire: trailing around a mile in length, it boasts a world-renowned and completely unique collection of Himalayan rhododendrons and azaleas; spring bulbs, cherries, maples, and more; plus a chain of small lakes, waterfalls, and streams. With benches nestled throughout the garden, you can sit back, absorb the tranquillity, and remove the stresses of everyday -- the perfect antidote to our cozy indoor yoga classes and indeed the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. Intermission Retreat accommodation will occupy the Main House as well as smaller but equally charming houses across the property. Minterne House is easily accessible by train from London (Waterloo to Sherborne) and ground transportation will be arranged closer to the arrival date.
